Who are Lemon Yellow LLP?
Lemon Yellow LLP is a design studio based in Thane, Mumabai. Their core competency is UI/UX design - from user research, UX workshops, visual design to UX writing - they focus on and offer services that are human-centric. Their mission is to “To empower businesses by providing user centric 360° design solutions”
Lemon Yellow focusses immensly on their work culture. From design workshops to fitness Thursdays, a week at LY is filled with experiences. One such tradition that they follow is the tradition of writting gratitude letters to each other. Letters are written on a postcard and put in their very own letter box. Every once a month ‘Daakiya’ or postman comes and delivers the letters across the office. They believe in this joy of letter writing and receiving, and wish to preserve this fading culture of the same.
Purpose of the Project
The idea is to understand the visual language of the company Lemon Yellow, merge it with my art style, and design something that represents the culture of the company.
I wanted to design something for the place that have given me a number of learningful experiences, opportunities and memories I’ll cherish forever. It is my way of giving something back. Since letter writing is an interesting part of their culture, I decided to design stamps for the letter/ postcards, that visually represents my time at LY.
Project Type: Personal project

Each employee at Ly is called a lemon. And each individual lemon is unique in their own way, with each of their talent standing out from the crowd. These bright yellow lemons stand out against a contrasting blue background.

While each lemon stands out, they fit perfectly together within a team.
They are nothing less than a family.

Everyday at 5 in the evening Kishor Sir announces “let’s go kids it’s tea time.” Making the entire office ready to run their way to the pantry to finally take a break from work.
The tea cups were exactly the same as these two cups!

A Karaoke evening at the end of a 9-hour long day in office was always a perfect way to unwind. Singing to old songs irrespective of our cracked voices felt super relaxing.

“Aambat Limbu” is a Marathi phrase that translates to ‘Sour Lemon.’ Working in a place surrounded with Maharashtrian colleagues made me understand some Marathi myself. “Aambat Limbu’ was one of the first phrases that I learnt in the language.
